We build websites, business software, and games.
Helm Workshop is a small dev shop that ships fast sites, custom tools that untangle how your business runs, and video games worth losing a weekend to. Clean code, real repos, no black boxes.
What we build
Three disciplines, one workshop. Mix and match.
Websites
Marketing sites, storefronts, and content-managed web apps. Fast on every device, easy for your team to edit, deployed to the edge.
Custom business software
Internal tools, dashboards, integrations, and automations that replace the spreadsheet-and-copy-paste parts of your day.
Video games
From game-jam prototypes to polished indie releases. Design, code, and shipping for web, desktop, and beyond.
APIs and integrations
Glue your systems together. We design APIs, connect third-party services, and write the scripts nobody wants to maintain.
Hosting and ops
We deploy what we build and keep it running: monitoring, backups, updates, and someone to call when it breaks.
Rescue and refactor
Inherited a codebase that scares you? We audit it, stabilize it, and leave it better documented than we found it.
How we work
A short loop, run as many times as it takes.
Discover
We learn your problem, your users, and your constraints before we write a line of code.
Prototype
Something clickable or playable early, so decisions are made on real software, not slide decks.
Ship
Incremental releases you can see. You get access to the repo and the staging site from day one.
Support
Handover docs, training, and ongoing care so the thing keeps working after launch.
Frequently asked questions
Do I own the code?
Yes. Your project lives in a repository you control, and the code is yours when the work is paid for.
What stack do you use?
Whatever fits the job. Modern web projects usually land on TypeScript, Astro or React, and edge hosting. Games and desktop tools get engines and languages chosen for the target platform.
Can you work with our existing team or codebase?
Absolutely. We are happy to slot into your repo, your tooling, and your review process, or to take over a project entirely.
How small a project will you take?
If it is well-defined, small is fine. A landing page, a single integration, or a game prototype are all good places to start.
Got an idea? Let's compile it.
Tell us what you're building. We'll reply with questions, a rough plan, and an honest estimate.
